Percy Jackson & the Olympians Book One: The Lightning Thief

When I first saw this book I thought nope I won't buy it. Then the movie trailer was being shown on Tv and the posters and yep still no impact on me rather. However as I wAS going on checking different bookish blogs they were giving good reviews regarding the book. SO about a few weeks ago I bought the book and started reading it. I even brought it to me when commuting to work. I don't want to give spoilers here but what I can say this is a good and engaging book, like me I became engrossed with this book I carry it with me everywhere I go.

This is agood YA book series wherein young and old alike would appreciate Greek Mythology and how it is somewhat interwoven with the present world. How a young lad with ADHD could be a hero (oops that's it).

Here's a teaser:

from page 1: : Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood.If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is : close this book right now".

The good thing with this book is because I appreciated how Rick Riordan intertwined Greek mythology with younger generation and present situation. There are some funny scenes and some serious ones. But all in all the book is good and so engaging that when I came to the last sentence I realized I have finished the first book coz I was left hanging, BITIN!!
